Keep up the Gratitude
What's Gratitude?
Gratitude is a positive emotion which doesn't take big or specific happening - it corresponds to the appreciation of what's valuable and meanigful to you.
Gratitude reduces multitude of toxic emotions like frustration, resentment, regret, depression and improves the quality and duration of sleep. It's also well-known to be a great antidote for fear & anger, both emotions that problably mess up our lives the most.
What's the effect of Gratitude?
Regularly expressing gratitude for what's good in your life or expressing gratitude to someone who's helped you deeply transforms the way your brain works.
When you're truly grateful for something or someone, your brain automatically rewards you by giving you a natural high of dopamine, as this feeling feels so good that it motivates you to feel it again and again!
Gratitude makes you happier and healthier.
Focusing into Gratitude basically primes your brain to find the good in things. Otherwise, our two-million-year-old brain that's wired for survival is usually looking for what's wrong - as a default mode.
You can consciously activate Gratitude by being present!
It’s pretty simple actually: You can't be angry and grateful at the same time. Nor can you be fearful and grateful at the same time.
By being present, by squeezing all the joy available out of life, you can absolutely consciously train yourself to constantly be grateful for the little things in life - which will soon turn into you consistantly feeling gratitude in your every day life. First it's what you (consciously decide to) do and soon it becomes who you are!
Remember one very important thing: What’s wrong is always available - BUT so is what’s right!
Give the gift of Gratitude to yourself!
"Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for".
